The Pacific Combat Living History Re-enactment will be conducted Aug. 31 to Sept. 1 at 500 E. Austin St. in Fredericksburg. History comes to life with a World War II battle re-enactment including uniformed actors, guns, tanks and a flamethrower! Then on Sept. 14 top talent on the bull riding circuit will congregate at the Gillespie County Fairgrounds in Fredericksburg for Professional Bull Riding
That same day, the annual Hill Country Heartbeat, a fundraiser for the Blanco Volunteer Ambulance Corps, will be held at Yett Memorial Park in Blanco from 4 p.m. to midnight. Meanwhile, mark your calendar now for the annual Barbeque on the Pedernales Oct. 26 at the LBJ Ranch in Stonewall, Texas.

This year’s entertainment will be Asleep at the Wheel. This iconic group has maintained its devotion to classic-style Western swing since its formation in 1970.
